I've been continuing to work on the gardening and food aspects of the game, and now I'm in the process of adding an inventory system. This has been a bit of a challenge, as creating an inventory in a game can be quite tricky. But I'm making progress.
With the new inventory system in place, players can now harvest crops and store them in their inventory. They can then retrieve the food from the inventory and place it on the ground for their animals to eat.
Of course, there are still a lot of things to work out in the inventory system. I want it to be easy and intuitive for players to use, but it is not so simple to create.
As always, there are plenty of other features and aspects of the game that I'm working on as well. Adding new animals and objects, and improving the overall performance and stability of the game are all ongoing tasks. But with each passing week, I'm getting closer and closer to having a game that I'm truly proud of.
