Farming and new pets

This week has been quite productive. I'm excited to say that I've made some significant progress, particularly with the farming aspect of the game.

I polished the ability for players to plant different crops, watch them grow, and then collect them into their inventory. Now it all work as it should. It's been really satisfying to see the crops grow from tiny seeds to fully mature plants, and I think players will enjoy this too.

I also made it so that players can only put plants on the ground or grass.

Lastly, I added rabbits as pets in the game. Players can now have these adorable little creatures as companions as they explore the world and tend to their farms. I think this will be a really fun addition and add a new level of interaction for players.

Overall, I'm really happy with the progress I've made this week, and I can't wait to see what else I can add to the game in the coming weeks.

Side panel for animals

It's been another productive week of game development, and I'm really excited about the progress I've made. The biggest addition I've made is a side panel that displays all the animals in the game. It's a great way for players to keep track of all the animals they've collected. In addition to the side panel, I've also added some new objects to the game world. It's really helped to add some depth and variety to the world, and it's made exploring the game much more enjoyable. Overall, I'm really happy with how the game is coming along. It's amazing to see all the different elements come together and create a cohesive experience. I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in the coming weeks.

Inventory is hard

I've been continuing to work on the gardening and food aspects of the game, and now I'm in the process of adding an inventory system. This has been a bit of a challenge, as creating an inventory in a game can be quite tricky. But I'm making progress. With the new inventory system in place, players can now harvest crops and store them in their inventory. They can then retrieve the food from the inventory and place it on the ground for their animals to eat.  Of course, there are still a lot of things to work out in the inventory system. I want it to be easy and intuitive for players to use, but it is not so simple to create.  As always, there are plenty of other features and aspects of the game that I'm working on as well. Adding new animals and objects, and improving the overall performance and stability of the game are all ongoing tasks. But with each passing week, I'm getting closer and closer to having a game that I'm truly proud of.
