First animals in the game

I've been making some great progress on my game lately. This week I added two new features that I'm really excited about.

First, I added different tiles, which means I can change the game map however I want while playing. It was so much fun building the world and experimenting with different combinations of tiles. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

The second feature I added was some animals - cats, chickens, and rats. They were a bit tricky to create, especially getting them to walk correctly. At first, they all walked backwards, which was pretty funny to watch, but not exactly what I was going for. However, after some tweaking, I managed to get them to walk correctly. It's amazing how much of a difference little details like this can make to the overall feel of the game. I want to continue working on animals and improve them.

I have to say, working on this game is really rewarding. It's challenging at times, but seeing everything come together is such a great feeling. I'm looking forward to adding even more features and content as I continue to work on it.

Farming and new pets

This week has been quite productive. I'm excited to say that I've made some significant progress, particularly with the farming aspect of the game. I polished the ability for players to plant different crops, watch them grow, and then collect them into their inventory. Now it all work as it should. It's been really satisfying to see the crops grow from tiny seeds to fully mature plants, and I think players will enjoy this too. I also made it so that players can only put plants on the ground or grass.  Lastly, I added rabbits as pets in the game. Players can now have these adorable little creatures as companions as they explore the world and tend to their farms. I think this will be a really fun addition and add a new level of interaction for players. Overall, I'm really happy with the progress I've made this week, and I can't wait to see what else I can add to the game in the coming weeks.

Gardening

This past week has been all about adding a new feature to my game: gardening! I realized that my animals need to eat, so I needed to figure out a way to provide food for them. After some brainstorming, I decided that adding a gardening component would be a great solution. It also fits in with the overall theme of taking care of animals. I don't want gardening to be a difficult or challenging task - I want it to be something that players can easily do as a small part of the game. So, I've created a simple system where players can plant seeds, wait some time, and then harvest the resulting crops. It's a basic setup, but it works well and I think it will add some nice variety to the gameplay. Of course, the main focus of the game is still taking care of the animals. I will continue to tweak their behavior and make sure that they're as engaging and fun to interact with as possible. There are still some challenges with balancing their needs and behaviors, but it's all pa...

Side panel for animals

It's been another productive week of game development, and I'm really excited about the progress I've made. The biggest addition I've made is a side panel that displays all the animals in the game. It's a great way for players to keep track of all the animals they've collected. In addition to the side panel, I've also added some new objects to the game world. It's really helped to add some depth and variety to the world, and it's made exploring the game much more enjoyable. Overall, I'm really happy with how the game is coming along. It's amazing to see all the different elements come together and create a cohesive experience. I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in the coming weeks.
